A relaxed and focused outdoor art experience across local parks on both East and West sides. Students will observe and draw from nature—trees, landscapes, and light—while building foundational skills in observation, composition, and expression.
Sessions are organized by location.
Each student will explore:
• Observational drawing from life
• Light and shadow in nature
• Composition and spatial awareness
• Introduction to outdoor painting

Outdoor Plein Air Camp Age: 8+

An artist-led, hands-on art camp where students (and families) step away from screens and reconnect through making. Each session is guided by different artistic approaches and materials, offering fresh ways to explore creativity.
Each week features a different theme—such as plants, animals, or favorite characters—with four sessions exploring media including drawing, collage, clay, printmaking, and mixed media.
Unplug & Create: Mixed Media Art Camp Age: 6+

Build strong foundations in drawing and painting through a structured yet flexible studio approach. Students will develop observation skills, understanding of form, and basic color use across different materials.
Week 1- focuses on drawing fundamentals using pencil, charcoal, pen, marker, and colored pencil.
Week 2 - introduces color concepts, including color theory, mixing, watercolor, acrylic, and oil.
Drawing & Painting Foundations Camp Age: 8+

Designed for motivated students preparing for advanced study, this program focuses on developing personal direction, strengthening technical skills, and creating strong portfolio pieces.
Students will receive individualized guidance and have the opportunity to work on more advanced projects, including larger-scale works and mixed media approaches.

Clay Workshop: Handbuilt Pinch Pots
Guest Ceramics Instructor: Erin O’Rear
Celebrate spring break with a hands-on ceramic experience for all ages. Participants will learn the fundamentals of pinch pot construction and create a functional or sculptural clay piece of their own.
Open to children, teens, and adults ages 6 and up. Siblings and parent-child pairs are welcome to enroll together.
Each person receives:
• ¾ lb of clay • Clay tools • Underglazes

Time: 5:00–6:30 PM
Duration: 1.5 hours
Workshop Fee: $45 per participant

Mixed Media Lens Art Workshop
Guest Artist: Victoria Winemiller
Kids and teens will design small-scale mixed media artworks on recycled lenses and turn them into creative refrigerator magnets — a playful exploration of texture, color, and imagination.
Open to children and teens ages 6+.
Siblings are welcome to enroll together.
