Course Description
This course builds on classical techniques with a focus on accurate observation and personal expression. Students practice still life, portrait, and figure drawing using graphite, charcoal, and paint. Lessons emphasize form, light, proportion, and color theory. Independent creative work is encouraged to help students develop their own artistic voice. For students with basic drawing and painting skills, either self-taught or from completing Level 1. Builds on fundamentals with more technique and creative growth. ********* Note: ********* There will be no classes on the following dates: August 30 & 31 (Labor Day weekend) October 4 & 5 (Fall Break) November 29 & 30 (Thanksgiving weekend)

• Each plan includes the number and length of sessions listed at the time of purchase. For semester-based drawing and painting courses, one make-up opportunity is typically offered when possible.
